PASSENGER¥S ACCESS
CONTROL SYSTEM ABOARD BUSES
The ML turnstile is a specially designed accessory to be
used aboard buses, whose main purpose is
to avoid fare evasion.
This product, as a complement of MONEBUS, results in great benefit for
the bus operator, since it optimizes revenues and assures a precise control of the
vehicle¥s operation.
TECHNICAL AND OPERATIONAL FEATURES
The turnstile was designed bearing in mind the different
installation possibilities aboard the vehicle. As a result of it, it can be indistinctly
installed on the left or right side of the bus¥alley, since the arms¥rotating direction
is totally programmable.
This ease of programming allows, also, to Lock or unlock, the arms¥ rotation in the
opposite direction of passengers¥ entrance.
The turnstile¥s functions are controlled trough an microprocessor based electronic
circuit.
Connected to the automatic fare collection unit MONEBUS, the turnstile is
freed every time a ticket is issued.
The turnstile¥s head cover is made out of high impact plastic, with radial edges and
without protuberances which may damage the passenger or his clothing.
Optionally, a counter located on the side of the turnstile head's cover, gives an
additional control on the number of passengers which entered the vehicle. The reading of
the counter is cumulative and cannot be set to zero from the turnstile¥s exterior.
The ML turnstile is supplied with an optional, patented, collapsible mounting adapter.
This mechanism enables the turnstile to, in an event of an emergency, automatically
collapse itself just by operating a lever located on the back side of its head.
In this way, tha vehicle's alley is immediately cleared and free of obstacles which could
difficult fast evacuation.
